Rounds does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and the app works entirely offline.
All of this is stored only in your device's local storage. It never leaves your device, is never sent anywhere, and is deleted when you remove the app. Rounds does not back it up to any server or sync it between devices.
Rounds Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Rounds never sees your name, payment card, or Apple Account details — it only receives a yes/no answer from the system about whether you own Rounds Pro. Apple's Privacy Policy covers the transaction.
If you turn on Apple Health (a Rounds Pro feature), Rounds writes each finished workout to the Health app on your device: the session (type, start and end time, duration), its individual rounds, an estimate of the calories burned, and — if you rate it — how hard the workout felt. It reads one thing: your most recent body-weight entry, used only to estimate those calories. Nothing is transmitted anywhere; it all stays on your device. You can turn this off at any time in the Health app, or in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.
Rounds plays audio in the background so the round bell can ring while your screen is locked. This uses no data and no network.
